- Minimum Age: The minimum age to start the Advanced Open Water Diver course is 12 years old. Divers aged 15 or older earn the Advanced Open Water Diver certification, while divers between 12-14 years earn the Junior Advanced Open Water certification.
- Health and Fitness: Scuba diving requires good health and fitness. If you have chronic health conditions, take certain medications, or recently had surgery, consult a physician for written approval before joining the course.
