As a scuba diver you are certified to dive, when accompanied with a Padi professional, to a maximum depth of 12m. The upgrade teaches students how to become a more independent diver. In just 2 days you can upgrade to a Padi open water certification, allowing you to dive to 18 meters, anywhere in the world. All you need to complete is the final 2 theory sessions, 2 skill sessions in shallow water and 2 open water dives.

All you have to do then, is complete the 4 open water dives in the crystal clear waters of Hurghada. You should bring a printed referral form, which proofs, that you completed all required theory sessions and skill sessions in confined water. After only 2 days diving in the magical underwaterworld of the Red Sea; with your Padi instructor, you could easily be a qualified open water diver.
